YouTube yesterday announced the launch of their new logo. Saffron had the privilege to be involved in its development alongside Chris Bettig and his team at YouTube.
The change is bold and represents one of the biggest evolutions the mark has been through since its inception. The redesigned logo composition includes a refined symbol shape and typeface design creating a more durable wordmark.
The new YouTube symbol emphasises the power of the iconic red 'play button' and reinforces its claim as the biggest video platform in the world. This is a significant change for the logo and will undoubtedly attract opinions from both ends of the spectrum.
Saffron also collaborated on the brand expression of YouTube TV earlier this year.
