The stories that shape us

What began as a protest has become a global movement, one that continues to advocate for visibility and equity in the face of rising opposition. At Saffron, we see Pride as an opportunity to honour the individuals and values that strengthen our culture, and to celebrate the diversity woven through our teams and communities.
This year, we turned to the art of storytelling: how it connects, creates space, and inspires.
Together, we celebrated the stories that make us, us.

Connection as creative act To mark the moment, we hosted a talk with filmmaker and narrative coach Sasha Damnjanovski, who reminded us that storytelling is a fundamental human characteristic. Through films, folklore, and lived experience, Sasha showed how stories help us reflect and empathise.

‘Stories are the human thing,’ he said, ‘and it is stories that change the world.’
From the power of visibility to the emotional weight of being seen, Sasha’s message was clear: when we share our stories, we create space for understanding and for change. Looking ahead Being proud means making a commitment, and ours remains the same: to support the people shaping our culture at Saffron and beyond. Inclusion is a practice. And it starts within.
