As October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with the upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness day on October 19, we turn our attention to a disease that impacts individuals, families, and communities worldwide.
Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death among women with one in eight women diagnosed in their lifetimes. But it's not just women who can be affected. Male breast cancer, though rare, is on the rise, with one in every 800 men estimated to develop it during their lifetimes. It's time to raise awareness for everyone.
The Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer is a Spanish non-profit organisation dedicated to fighting cancer and reducing the impact of the disease on individuals and society as a whole. Founded in 1953, Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer is an essential force in raising awareness, funding research, promoting prevention and early detection, and offering hope to those affected by cancer in Spain.
In 2021, Saffron partnered with Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer to create a brand identity reflecting their new direction as a people-first organisation. The new brand allowed the organisation to maintain the connection with the audiences who helped forge their 70-year legacy of fighting against cancer while creating new relationships with a younger, broader audience with different needs in their journey with the disease.
Listen to our podcast interview below with Yolanda Dominguez Vega, Director of Marketing and Communication at the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer. This episode explores how the brand we created together has helped realise the organisation’s goals since launch and is helping them stay more connected than ever.
