How brand can be a guide in shifting times

It’s becoming difficult to count the troubles. In most other lifetimes, the twin horrors of Israel and Gaza would have shaken the world to its core. But these were already dark times. In just the past few years, we have seen the rise of the Ukrainian war, a relentless cost of living crisis, the appeal of national populism and the foreboding clouds of extreme weather events.

For many of us, winter is approaching. And with it, the dark.

What will it take for us to keep our heads up? In the icy face of adversity, we want to find the resilience – perhaps even the inspiration – that will carry us forward into a brighter future.

At Saffron, we believe in the power of bright thinking and a positive attitude. We have seen the remarkable difference it makes in how we work and the impact it has on who we work with.

We want to carry this spirit into our wider community and beyond, encouraging people ‘Into The Bright’. It’s more than a simple optimism. We want a vibrant and truthful conversation within the design and branding industry. One that is positive, realistic and proactive, aimed at sparking creative and innovative solutions to the challenges facing people all over the world.

As we look ahead to the turn of an unbelievably difficult year, let’s see if inspiring conversations with leading thinkers and practitioners can take us forward. We know that design, in all its forms, can have a positive impact. We also know that when more people engage in the discussion, more good can be done.
