We can’t help but remember that this time last year all of us at Saffron were so fortunate to reunite in Marrakech for another magical Offsite. However, our hearts are heavy as we acknowledge the tragic events that have unfolded since then.
On September 8, a disastrous 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Morocco resulting in the loss of several thousand lives. Marrakech and the surrounding communities have suffered widespread devastation including the destruction of centuries-old buildings, mosques, and relics.
Despite the challenges, the rescue and relief campaign persists.
