Play is one of Flanders’ leading entertainment brands, bringing a wide mix of content and local talent into homes across the region.
While its shows had built a loyal following over time, the brand itself stayed in the background. It was known for what it aired, not for who it was. Play needed to step forward, becoming more visible, more confident and more recognisable to its audience.
The ambition was clear: to move from broadcaster to trusted guide in a crowded entertainment space. A brand people could easily find, recognise and return to, no matter where they watch.

One name, one experience

Over time, Play’s growing list of channels and platforms had created fragmentation. Different looks and experiences made it harder for viewers to connect everything back to one brand.
We brought it all together under a single, unified brand: Play. A monolithic structure that simplified the offer and strengthened recognition across every touchpoint.
Content was reframed in a way that made more sense to viewers, shifting from channel-based navigation to categories that reflect what people actually want to watch. The result was a clearer, more intuitive viewer experience.

Play is a universal human behaviour and form of entertainment. So, we owned that familiarity to build an identity that’s as natural to the brand as it is to audiences.
Simple and instantly recognisable, Play became the foundation for a system that could flex across content and contexts.
The visual identity supports the bold realness of Play’s content, and its content reflects the vividness of its identity. We designed it to strike a balance across screens and formats, stepping back when content should lead and stepping forward when it needs to take ownership.

A voice that speaks up

Play had always relied on its content to carry the brand. But in a competitive market, that wasn’t enough.
We helped shape a voice that reflected its true character: bold, daring, humorous and self-aware.
The brand found its tone and started to speak with confidence. One that feels unmistakably Play, wherever it shows up.

Built for every screen

The new identity was designed to work across every platform, from TV to apps to social.
Everything, everywhere, carries the same simple but bold system. Trailers, bumpers, digital interfaces and campaigns all worked together to create a consistent experience.
